The Association of Latin-Iberoamerican Operational Research Societies (ALIO) and the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO), both within the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS), organize their joint fifth conference devoted to Combinatorial Optimization. The main purpose of the ALIO/EURO Conferences of Combinatorial Optimization is to bring together Latin American and European researchers and to stimulate activities and discussions about methods and applications in the field of combinatorial optimization. Researchers from other countries are obviously welcome too. The main topics of the conference can be found here.

The Fifth ALIO/EURO Conference on Combinatorial Optimization will be held in Paris (FRANCE), at the Ecole nationale supérieure des télécommunications (ENST). The ENST is located inside Paris (13th district) and can be easily reached by public transport.

The preceeding four conferences in this series of triennial meetings were held in Brazil (1989), Chile (1996), Italy (1999), and Chile (2002).

    Submission of a communication

Communications will be 30 minutes long (including questions).
If you want to give a communication, you must submit an abstract. It is possible to write it with Latex or Word. You must use one of the two following models:

The length of the abstract must be between half a page and one page, including the references, with respect to the above models. Each abstract must have keywords. These keywords will preferably be chosen in the topics list that we propose. It is possible to add keywords which are not in our list. The abstracts must be sent for submission to Olivier Hudry (hudry@enst.fr) before September 11.

    Important dates

    Publication of full papers

A selection of full papers will be published in a special issue of the journal RAIRO-Operations Research, an international journal published jointly by the French Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SMAI) and by the French Society of Operations Research (ROADEF). These full papers must be sent for submission in pdf or postscript format to Olivier Hudry (hudry@enst.fr) before the end of the conference (October 28, 2005). The usual high standards of the journal will be applied through a strict, thorough, and selective refereeing process.
To be taken into consideration, submitted papers must have been presented as a communication during the conference. It involves that at least one of the authors of the paper must attend the conference.
Submitted papers must conform to the "instructions for authors" of the journal (see http://www.edpsciences.org/ro). The format Tex is preferred but Word is possible. A template is given on the internet site of edpsciences for the format tex. For the format Word, please write your paper in Times size 12 with space between two lines of 1.5. The maximum length of the papers is 15 pages.
